Australia's nuclear-powered submarine acquisition represents a pivotal moment in the nation's history, marking a significant transformation in its defense capabilities. This ambitious undertaking positions Australia among the select group of countries operating such vessels, enhancing its capacity to deter conflict and promote peace and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region.

Key Responsibilities

As a Program Director, you will be responsible for delivering Australia's nuclear-powered submarine capability, encompassing the procurement of Virginia Class platforms and the development of SSN-AUKUS platforms, as well as ensuring sustainment and supporting systems are in place. You will provide strategic leadership across the NPS program, aligning objectives with government and defense priorities. Working closely with national and industry stakeholders, you will guarantee that program execution meets Australia's security, safety, regulatory, and capability requirements.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Australian Submarine Agency (ASA), playing a crucial role in guiding the most complex and consequential Defence program Australia has ever undertaken.
