Job Description:

As a critical member of the team, the Lead Manufacturing Technical Officer will play a pivotal role in supporting the Operations Team and end-users in sourcing commercially available equipment and tooling required for constructing the SSN AUKUS at the Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard.

This position presents an exceptional opportunity to be part of the pioneering SSN AUKUS Build Program, contributing significantly to Australia's sovereign capability.

  • Assist in identifying and procuring commercially available equipment and tooling for the SSN AUKUS Build Program.
  • Develop basic performance specifications and maintain accurate documentation for equipment.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to facilitate timely and efficient procurement activities.
  • Oversee the delivery of fixed standard and portable equipment, tooling, and consumables, including commissioning and training.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Integrate security, safety, and ICT requirements into processes and documentation.
  • Provide regular progress updates and reports to stakeholders.
