About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bakery Assistant Manager to join our team at Drakes Supermarkets. As a key member of our bakery department, you will be responsible for assisting the Bakery Manager in the day-to-day operation of the store's bakery.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the management and coaching of the bakery team
- Completing production and actioning orders in a timely and efficient manner
- Generating rosters and ensuring accurate team member scheduling
- Liaising with both team members and management to ensure seamless communication
- Maintaining a high level of customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers
- Assisting with merchandising and visual displays to drive sales and promote our products
- Ensuring compliance with work health and safety standards and maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in a retail or bakery environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of fresh food retail and ordering procedures
- Ability to supervise a team and provide coaching and guidance
