The position is available across multiple clinical areas, including:
- Critical Care (ICU/ED/CCU)
- Medical Services (General/Rehab/Geriatric/Cancer Services/HITH)
- Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs services
- Midwifery Services (all areas)
- Neonatal and Paediatrics
- Outpatients
- Perioperative Services (Anaesthetics/Instrument/Circulating/PACU)
- Renal Services (all areas)
- Surgical Services (General/Orthopaedic)
To be successful, applicants must have a minimum of 12 months experience in a relevant area of clinical practice.
Key Duties and Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing/midwifery care to an allocated group of clients.
- Work within the registered nurse/midwife scope of practice and follow relevant legislation, procedures, guidelines, and standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and contribute to maintaining a safe environment for consumers and staff.
- Demonstrate NT health values - safe; responsive; kind - in all decision-making and interactions.
- Foster a positive workplace culture through role modelling appropriate behaviour.
- Follow defined service quality standards and WHS policies and procedures.
- Be willing to work shift work and be redeployed to meet clinical needs.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Understanding of client care coordination and ability to achieve positive outcomes.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of social and cultural issues influencing healthcare provision.
- Understanding of Continuous Quality Improvement principles.
