Key Responsibilities:- Production and Manufacturing Management: Develop and implement processes, people, and practices to continuously improve our production capabilities and meet sales demand.
- End-to-End Supply Chain Management: Lead the direction, review, and establish processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness in our supply chain.
- Procurement and Purchasing: Implement processes to review, assess, manage, and direct supplier relationships to maximize Reach's commercial position while ensuring high levels of quality and service delivery.
- Supplier Assessment: Take a global approach to parts and component sourcing, gaining a strong understanding of the options and ensuring high-quality, best-fit, compliant, and commercially viable supply chain.
- Contract Management: Negotiate contractual terms in consultation with the General Manager to drive cost-effectiveness and ensure terms are fit for purpose.
- Establish Systems and Ways of Working: Develop and implement systems and ways of working that meet complex customer requirements, such as those in the Defence industry.
- Contribute to an Aligned Approach: Work with colleagues to ensure a smooth transition from design to manufacture to delivery to aftersales support.
- Office and Facility Management: Oversee the provision of a positive and fit-for-purpose work environment, including appropriate Health & Safety practices.
- ISO Quality Management: Take ownership of ISO quality management requirements, promoting good practices and the benefits in Reach's commercial proposition.
- Reporting and Metrics: Report various metrics and utilize them to have real-time sight of departmental performance and measure KPIs.
- Australian Working Rights: Must have full Australian working rights.
- Precision Assembly Experience: Experience and knowledge of precision assembly (ideally electro-mechanical) with strong insights in bringing complex designs into commercial production.
- Supplier Management: A good understanding of supplier management, assessment, and negotiation, ideally with global exposure.
- Export Control: A sound knowledge of key legislative requirements and restrictions, and an appreciation of risk and the need to escalate for advice around more complex matters.
- Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with all WHS regulations.
- Functional Management: Gap analysis, resourcing, reporting, strategic and tactical thinking.
- People Management: Have successfully led a team, delivered change positively, and developed people to reach their potential.
