Job Title: Automotive Body Repair Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Body Repair Specialist to join our team. As a Panel Technician, you will be responsible for repairing damaged vehicles in line with manufacturers' specifications using modern equipment within a state-of-the-art bodyshop.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a valid ATA or NVQ equivalent and experience working in a busy body shop environment. You will work efficiently in a fast-paced accident repair centre, following correct repair methods and completing work to factory specifications and customer satisfaction.

You will remove damaged panels and parts, and repair or replace them as necessary. You will use welding tools, hand tools, and power equipment to reshape and fit panels. You will smooth dents and imperfections with fillers and sanding, and align body parts and ensure correct fitting.

Responsibilities:

  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced accident repair centre
  • Follow correct repair methods and complete work to factory specifications and customer satisfaction
  • Remove damaged panels and parts, and repair or replace them as necessary
  • Use welding tools, hand tools, and power equipment to reshape and fit panels
  • Smooth dents and imperfections with fillers and sanding
  • Align body parts and ensure correct fitting
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Stay up to date with latest repair techniques and standards

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A recognised apprenticeship as an Automotive Body Repair Specialist and hold a qualification such as NVQ, VCQ, SVQ, or ATA
  • Experience working in a busy body shop environment
  • A strong team player, motivated by achieving bonus hours
  • The ability to work to a high standard and demonstrate excellent knowledge of both major and minor crash repair techniques
