Position Overview
As an Employment Coach, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with disabilities in achieving their personal employment aspirations in alignment with their NDIS plans. Your work will involve collaborating with Endeavour Foundation employees to support them in their daily responsibilities and tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advocate for Endeavour Foundation as a preferred employer, showcasing the range of services available to individuals with disabilities.
- Foster strong professional relationships with both internal and external partners to cultivate productive collaborations.
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement to assist supported employees in reaching their NDIS employment objectives.
- Work alongside site managers to carry out referral, attraction, recruitment, and selection processes for Supported Employees, ensuring optimal commercial operations.
- Support the gathering of information for all internal and external reporting, ensuring compliance with obligations and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with site management to evaluate procedures and processes, ensuring efficiency and ongoing enhancement of service delivery.
- Assist in Individual Support Planning and NDIS funding evaluations, including the creation of person-centered support activities relevant to the workplace.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience in working with individuals with disabilities in employment contexts or direct support roles.
- Proven ability to operate within a person-centered framework while applying social justice principles.
- Flexibility and adaptability in the workplace, with the ability to shift priorities as needed.
- A sincere commitment to the organization’s mission and values, demonstrating adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in current MS Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to effectively engage and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in training, coaching, and developing individuals with disabilities.
Qualifications:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) and prior case management experience are highly regarded.
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- NDIS clearance
- National Police Check clearance
- Mental Health First Aid certification is highly regarded.
