About the Role
As a Senior Claims Consultant, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of claims, providing technical support on claims strategies and management, conducting quality assurance reviews, coaching and mentoring claims consultants, and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end retail insurance claims, including Income Protection, Total & Permanent Disability, and Trauma
- Resolve complaints and review disputed claim decisions
- Develop and enhance the team's skills and capabilities
- Drive continuous improvement and process enhancements
- Uphold Zurich's claim philosophy
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Claims Consultant in Life Insurance (or a high-performing claims consultant)
- Expertise in LICOP (Life Insurance Code of Practice) and the Insurance Contracts Act
- Proven experience in coaching and mentoring Claims Consultants
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and process enhancement initiatives
