We're seeking a highly skilled Transformation Leader - Financial Reporting to join our Finance and Accounting team in Sydney, NSW.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead financial reporting projects and contribute to the company's growth and success. As a Transformation Leader - Financial Reporting, you will be responsible for providing high-quality technical accounting advice and maintaining enterprise-wide accounting policies. You will work closely with the sustainability reporting team to ensure compliance with ESG reporting requirements and provide guidance on complex accounting transactions.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice on consolidation accounting, M&A transaction advisory, and group consolidations.
  • Develop and maintain AGL's portfolio of enterprise-wide accounting policies.
  • Lead and coordinate financial reporting projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to standards.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels of seniority and business lines.
  • Work collaboratively with external auditors to facilitate the audit process.

Your Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of technical accounting experience, with a strong understanding of consolidation accounting.
  • An advanced knowledge of complex accounting matters, including M&A transactions, derivatives, and legal entity accounting.
  • Professional qualifications as a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA), with consulting experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with large ERP systems, particularly SAP.
