We are seeking an experienced Marine and Coastal Modeler to join our team. As a key member of our coastal modeling group, you will play a vital role in providing innovative solutions to marine and aquatic ecological issues.
Key Responsibilities:- Interact with engineers and approvals specialists to develop and implement numerical models for marine and aquatic ecological assessments.
- Analyze met-ocean/oceanographic and water quality data to inform model development and interpretation.
- Undertake three-dimensional hydrodynamic modeling and two-dimensional spectral wave modeling to predict coastal processes and effects.
- Develop and apply numerical models for dredging, wastewater discharges, and oil spills to assess environmental impacts.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
- Experience with numerical modeling software (MIKE software suite preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
