About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing detailed insights into brand vertical P&L, including monthly reporting and variance analysis against budget and forecast. This involves delivering accurate and insightful financial reports, analysis, and commentary on brand performance, profitability, expenses, and key financial metrics.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a finance analyst role within retail, solid accounting knowledge, and understanding of financial principles. They will also possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior managers on financial issues and provide clear communication of financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with the Commercial Finance teams to enhance and streamline financial reporting processes, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation of monthly management reporting, including Brand profit & loss packs and cost centre reporting.
- Financial analysis including commentaries on key driver variances and impacts on the business.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting process for CRG and preparation of budget/forecast submissions to WHL in the required format.
- Collaborate with Brand Commercial Finance teams to develop uniform forecasting processes, templates and reporting.
- Reconciliations between accounting ledger and trackers for key expense lines (mainly Marketing).
- Liaising and meeting with business on any business-related queries, including ad hoc, month end, coding, and HO employment.
- Experience in a finance analyst role ideally within retail.
- Solid accounting knowledge and understanding of financial principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
