This exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated and empathetic professional to join our team as a Financial Capability Worker. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting consumers to build long-term financial capability by providing education, coaching, and guidance.

You will work closely with clients who are experiencing financial hardship, helping them to create effective budgets, manage their finances, and make informed decisions about their money.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work autonomously, and demonstrate a strong ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.

Your responsibilities
  • Provide financial literacy education and one-on-one support to clients
  • Help clients set realistic financial goals and develop strategies to achieve them
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of a Certificate IV in Community Service Work or equivalent qualification
  • Strong knowledge of financial literacy principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable populations
