Technical Support Specialist

We are seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join our team. This is a permanent role, on-site working based in Kogarah and reporting into the Practice Manager.

The successful candidate will provide technical support activities as part of service delivery provision and/or projects deployment, including installation, troubleshooting, problem resolution and maintenance. They will respond to customer questions regarding operation and malfunctions, advise customers on preventative maintenance and configuration adjustments to improve product performance and customer satisfaction.

This role requires strong technical skills and knowledge of information security protocols and practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in network support and IT operations, proficiency in application support across various business platforms, and skilled in incident resolution and service desk operations.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide technical support to customers through phone, email and on-site visits
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware and software
    • Configure and maintain systems and applications to ensure optimal performance
    • Develop and maintain documentation and procedures for technical support processes
    • Collaborate with other teams to identify and implement process improvements

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems
    • Experience with network protocols and architectures
    • Knowledge of database management systems
    • Familiarity with cloud-based services and infrastructure

Personal Qualities:

  • Communication Skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Able to communicate complex technical information to non-technical staff
