Quantum Optics and Information Researcher Position
We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join our research team. The primary focus of this role is to develop expertise in high-level quantum optical experiments and master quantum foundations and information concepts.
Our research aims to experimentally advance the ability to perform ultra-precise measurements using quantum technologies. This project will develop new measurement techniques for distributed metrology applications, overcoming challenges related to sending quantum data across distances.
Key Responsibilities
To succeed, you should be able to engage with complex research problems systematically, critically, and logically. Evidence of perseverance, attention to detail, and a passion for scientific research is essential.
- The successful applicant must have completed or expect to complete a bachelor's degree with honours equivalent to first class honours or a master's degree (AQF Level 9) with a significant research component.
- Knowledge in quantum optics or quantum information is advantageous.
