This exciting PhD opportunity invites a highly motivated candidate to contribute to cutting-edge research in quantum information and foundations.
About the Role
The successful applicant will join a world-leading group of researchers working on innovative experiments in quantum optics and information processing. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and executing high-level quantum optical experiments to push beyond Bell's theorem.
- Mastery of quantum concepts through collaboration with international teams.
- Contributing to the advancement of photonic technology and shedding light on the quantum measurement problem.
Requirements
To be successful, candidates must have:
- A bachelors degree with honours equivalent to first class honours or a Masters degree (AQF Level 9) incorporating a significant research component.
- A strong desire to undertake research in quantum information and foundations from both experimental and theoretical perspectives.
- Knowledge or experience in quantum optics (particularly continuous variable optical systems) is an advantage.
