Youth Outreach Worker

About This Role

This is a dynamic opportunity to work with young people who require short-term assistance and support. As a Youth Outreach Worker, you will engage with the community, develop and implement youth programs, and provide critical support to individuals and families.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver outreach programs for ages 12-25 and the wider community, providing crisis support and making referrals as needed.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate youth programs, services, and events in response to community needs.
  • Manage program administration tasks, including budgeting and record-keeping.
  • Provide information, resources, and referrals to young people and their families.
  • Support the Team Leader/Coordinator with budget preparation and report writing.
  • Contribute to policy development and ensure the representation of young people's needs.
Requirements
  • A degree or diploma in Social Work, Youth Work, Community Development, or Welfare, with at least 18 months of relevant experience.
  • A Victorian Driver's Licence and car.
