Job Title: Financial Performance Manager

We are seeking a skilled Financial Performance Manager to drive strategic financial performance and deliver impactful budget management at a forward-thinking organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly journal reclassifications across projects and GL accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial reports and quarterly budget reviews to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget, fees and charges, and other financial plans to support business objectives.
  • Support staff with budget-related training and expert advice on financial systems, promoting efficient use of resources.
  • Analyse financial data to inform decision-making and drive business efficiency, identifying areas for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Implement cost allocation, performance measurement, and continuous improvement practices to enhance organisational performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide strategic advice and improve financial literacy, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Maintain key registers, including Restricted Assets and Unspent Grants, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
Requirements:
  • Degree in accounting, commerce, economics, or a related field, demonstrating strong theoretical knowledge.
  • CA/CPA status (or working towards) or equivalent professional experience, showcasing technical expertise.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage effectively with cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and trust.
  • Proficient in financial systems, advanced Excel skills, and internal controls, ensuring efficient financial operations.
  • Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving capabilities, driving informed decision-making.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and discretion in handling confidential information, upholding professional standards.
  • A commitment to customer-focused service delivery within a collaborative team environment, prioritising excellence and professionalism.
