A Leader in Freight Operations

About the Role

This position plays a vital part in ensuring efficient handling and receipt of freight. Responsibilities include loading, unloading, and securing general freight of all sizes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate counterbalance forklifts safely and effectively.
  • Process various types of general freight from beginning to end, including palletised, ugly, and oversize loads.
  • Secure and restrain all loads using ratchet straps, chains, and binders.
  • Ensure accurate and complete scanning for freight in received, loaded, staged, and unloaded functions.
  • Prepare outgoing freight by securing and packing goods correctly for dispatch.
  • Lead a small team of Freight Officers and provide guidance and support as needed.
Requirements
  • Hold a current Forklift Licence (LF).
  • Have a strong knowledge base in transport and logistics.
  • Have experience with general ugly/oversize freight.
  • Be an expert in load restraints using ratchet straps, chains, and binders.
  • Be able to lead, direct, and supervise a small team.
  • Preferred scanning experience.
