We are exclusively partnering with a Tier 1 Mining Asset Owner to find a proactive and hands-on Project Engineer who will work closely with the Project Manager and Construction Leads to plan and execute SMP works on sustaining capital projects across this complex mining operation.

This is a client-side role, flying to a remote mine site in the Northern Territory on a 2/1 roster engagement. Key Accountabilities include:

  • Supporting multiple projects and project managers concurrently
  • Driving and coordinating projects from an engineering, cost, schedule, and quality perspective
  • Manage engineering partners through concept and detailed design phase, including document reviews, organising design reviews, responding to technical requests, and liaising with stakeholders
  • Support construction teams by providing technical guidance in the field during execution activities
  • Engage and foster relationships with internal (projects, operations, maintenance) and external (design consultants, construction contractors) stakeholder groups

The successful candidate will have a Tertiary qualification within mechanical engineering and Proven experience in site engineering within the mining, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sectors. They should also have SMP or materials handling projects background and Demonstrable project delivery experience and understanding of all projects deliverables. Additionally, they need Effective written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills as well as Stakeholder engagement and management of contractors/EPCM's.

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.

  • Tertiary qualification within mechanical engineering
  • Proven experience in site engineering within the mining, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sectors
  • An SMP or materials handling projects background
  • Demonstrable project delivery experience and understanding of all projects deliverables
  • Effective written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Stakeholder engagement and management of contractors/EPCM's
