Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Sunshine Coast State Government Department as a temporary backfill AO2 Administration Officer.

Key responsibilities include providing high-level administrative assistance, preparing correspondence, briefing notes, and documentation. Additionally, you will support meetings with secretariat functions such as agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions.

You will assist with procurement processes, raise purchase orders, and process payments. Also, you will monitor and reconcile financial data and maintain accurate records for assets and equipment.

Furthermore, you will update and maintain project systems, document management tools, and correspondence tracking systems. You will compile and analyse data to support reporting and decision-making.

In addition, you will engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery. Finally, you will contribute to a safe, ethical, and collaborative workplace in line with TMR policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in an administrative or project support role (government or infrastructure experience highly regarded).
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Confidence working with systems, data, and financial processes.
  • A White Card (or willingness to obtain one) to enable occasional site visits.
