Role Overview

This position of Adolescent Young Adult (AYA) specialist will provide clinical leadership for the implementation of recommendations from a recent service evaluation. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of a culture of medical education and safe, effective, patient-centred clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist AYA support to the QCGS and broader networked model of gender services across Queensland.
  • Implement recommendations from the service evaluation to improve healthcare outcomes for AYA patients.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, leadership abilities, and experience working with AYA patients. A postgraduate qualification in medicine or a related field is required, as well as eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
