Senior Mental Health Clinician Role
The Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service is seeking a Senior Mental Health Clinician to join their multidisciplinary team. This role will provide advanced services to children and adolescents with complex mental health and substance use disorders who are involved with the justice system.
About The Team
The Forensic Child and Youth Mental Health Service is a specialist program within the service, providing assessment and treatment services to young people with mental health issues and significant behavioural disturbance.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate high-level knowledge and skill in Forensic Mental Health practice.
- Apply professional judgment, based on evidence, to a complex caseload.
- Provide specialised forensic mental health advice and risk assessment reports.
- Develop and implement quality activities and forensic mental health practice to improve care for young offenders.
- Provide supervision, training, and support in a specialist area to staff and students.
