Medical Administrative Assistant

At our practice, we are seeking an exceptional Medical Administrative Assistant to provide a warm and welcoming experience for our patients.

As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for delivering administrative support to our doctors and nurses. This includes managing appointments, phone calls, and correspondence in a timely and efficient manner.

Previous medical administration or reception experience is highly regarded; however, we are willing to train the right candidate. You must possess excellent customer service skills, cultural sensitivity, and knowledge of medical terminology.

Key qualifications include current vaccination and immunisation status, intermediate computer knowledge, and strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive patient experience
  • Manage appointments, phone calls, and correspondence in a timely and efficient manner
  • Conduct patient registration and data entry
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports
  • Develop and maintain relationships with patients, doctors, and other healthcare professionals
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence
