Patient Flow CoordinatorAbout the Role:
The Patient Flow Coordinator plays a pivotal role in streamlining patient movement throughout the healthcare system.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide operational leadership and oversight of admissions and staffing resources to ensure seamless patient flow.
- Maintain visibility into existing patient placements and make informed decisions to optimize bed utilization.
- Establish and nurture relationships with other healthcare facilities to facilitate effective transfer of care.
- Liaise with case managers to coordinate patient transfers from external organizations.
- Ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness through close collaboration with Nurse Unit Managers, VMOs, and Deputy Director of Clinical Services (DDCS).
- Manage the casual pool portfolio and assess clinical, administrative, and financial risk associated with transfer requests.
Your Qualifications:
- A Registered Nursing qualification and 3 years' experience.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- High-level communication and public relation skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships.
- Previous experience in a management or similar role.
