Job Description

As a senior technical expert, you will play a key role in planning and delivering infrastructure projects across the region.

This strategic role requires strong leadership capabilities, technical expertise, and the ability to mentor staff while coordinating with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute project plans for infrastructure maintenance and rehabilitation projects.
  • Represent the organization's interests on construction contracts and oversee procurement, tendering, and contract administration.
  • Provide high-level technical advice to ensure project success, value for money, and adherence to standards.
  • Monitor progress reporting, financial forecasting, and quality assurance.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of project documentation and ensure alignment with safety, environmental, and legislative requirements.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and the community.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and technical staff, including supervision in line with RPEQ requirements.
  • Champion safety and sustainability across all project phases.
Requirements
  • A four-year Washington Accord accredited Bachelor of Engineering (or equivalent recognized by Engineers Australia).
  • RPEQ registration (or eligible and committed to obtaining it).
  • Current Class C driver's license.
  • White Card (Construction Industry Induction).
  • Provision of suitable PPE.
  • Ability to pass a Criminal History Check.
