About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting and maintaining our infrastructure solutions and services.

Responsibilities include building, configuring, transitioning, administering and supporting infrastructure technologies and solutions such as compute, storage, networking, physical infrastructure, software, cloud, commercial off the shelf (COTS) and open-source packages and solutions.

You will work collaboratively with other teams to ensure that a set of IT products, suppliers and vendors come together to deliver an IT service.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with logical designs created by technical architects and required standards, methods and tools (including prototyping tools where appropriate).

An Infrastructure Engineer supports and maintains infrastructure solutions and services as directed and according to departmental policy and strategy.

Main Responsibilities
  • Building and managing infrastructure monitoring systems to resolve issues before they become incidents.
  • Working with senior engineers to support automation of existing processes or introduction of new automation to provide better functionality, flexibility or cost savings.
  • Investigating faults in systems, processes and services, and advising on the implementation of appropriate solutions and preventative measures.

You will be expected to carry out day-to-day activities including updating and maintaining technical documentation, responding to incident reports, ensuring relevant prioritisation and detail to allow for effective investigation.
