About Procurement Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our Merchandise Team as a Procurement Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with suppliers to establish strong relationships and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Ensuring suppliers adhere to trading terms, obligations, and merchandising requirements.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate new product ranges to meet business needs.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance against targets, providing actionable insights to inform future decisions.
  • Implement and ensure compliance of supplier produced planograms across the retail network.
  • Provide coaching and support on effective merchandising techniques and compliance standards.
  • Coordinate internal promotional programs, including designing and executing promotional displays and materials.

Your Skills & Experience:

  • Achievement of Year 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in retail management or a similar role.
  • Ability to train, coach, and mentor store managers.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office product suite.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience in training, coaching, or mentoring others.
  • Flexible, self-motivated, and able to work independently.

Requirements:

  • The ability to safely lift up to 20kg.
  • Performing repetitive tasks, including bending, twisting, and lifting.
  • Following ergonomic guidelines when performing physical tasks.
