Lead Animation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Animation Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality animation with convincing performances and motion.

The successful candidate will have the ability to complete digi-double, creature, character, or rigid body animation while delivering work to strict deadlines. They will be aware of project schedules and work hard to achieve these goals, producing content within the framework of our pipeline.

About You:

  • Strong understanding of animation principles
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and passion for animation
  • Open, communicative, eager to learn, and team-oriented

Requirements:

  • 6+ years CG animation experience within high-end live action VFX feature films
  • Ability to perform visual and analytical problem solving in 3-dimensional space
  • Thorough knowledge of Maya
  • Proven experience troubleshooting and predicting potential problems with assigned tasks and issues from other departments
  • Ability to support Leads and Supervisors
  • Experience mentoring junior artists

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with realistic and stylized facial animation
  • Tool development using Python or MEL
  • Experience shooting Mocap material with Moven Mocap suit
