Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement community engagement plans to achieve project goals.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and community members, providing clear and concise communication.
  • Facilitate public meetings, workshops, and consultations to gather input and feedback.
  • Prepare and distribute clear and concise communication materials.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align engagement plans with project goals.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of engagement activities.
  • Address community concerns and provide timely responses to inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures in all engagement efforts.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of community engagement principles and practices.
  • Flood knowledge and experience as a community enjoyment advisor.
  • Local council experience.
  • Project coordination expertise.
  • Previous experience in stakeholder management or public engagement roles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in creating and delivering presentations to various audiences.
  • A collaborative approach to working with diverse teams and communities.
  • Knowledge of flood management or infrastructure projects is desirable.
