Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Hospitality Expert to join our team at Fairmont Orchid. As a key member of our food and beverage team, you will be responsible for providing unique dining experiences to all of our guests through warm, personal and detailed service in a luxury, upscale and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional service to guests, ensuring a positive first impression of the restaurant.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all F&B services, contents and preparation methods, outlets and hotel services/features.
  • Up-sell and promote food and beverage offers at every available opportunity to maximize sales revenue.
  • Pick up and serve food and beverage orders, ensuring that they are served promptly to the guests once they are ready.
  • Remember individual patrons' names and their preferences to extend personalized service.
  • Ensure that all food and beverage are served according to service standards.
  • Clear and tidy up tables after the departure of the patrons as quickly as possible.
  • Perform opening/closing side duties as assigned and set all tables according to standards and procedures.
  • Assist other Food & Beverage outlets with their operations during peak times or when required.
  • Apply necessary precautions with regards to the hotel food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP).
  • Be well-versed in hotel fire and life safety/emergency procedures.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.

Requirements:

  • Able to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
  • Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
  • Able to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage.
  • Able to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Detailed and service-oriented with an eye for detail to be self-motivated and energetic.
  • Provide the necessary State and Federal Requirements to work in Food and Beverage (Tuberculosis Clearance).
