Our Explosive Ordnance Services team plays a critical role in supporting the Australian Defence Force, providing storage, distribution, maintenance, and disposal of explosive ordnance systems across the country.

As a Security Compliance Specialist, you'll be part of a dynamic team that ensures the highest standards of security and compliance are met. Your role will be pivotal in supporting the EO Services Security Manager in monitoring and conducting security activities, ensuring compliance with Defence and Thales controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong relationships with customers, contractors, and staff to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date security registers, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee government security clearance applications and records, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Deliver security awareness sessions to staff and contractors, promoting a culture of security and compliance.
  • Manage security libraries and records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Maintain access control databases and produce secure passes, ensuring authorized access to sensitive areas.
  • Monitor and analyze security metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Attend security and emergency management meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Well-developed computer skills in Microsoft Office and relevant data management applications.
  • Occasional interstate travel may be required.
  • Previous experience within the Logistics and/or Defence industry would be highly advantageous.
