Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to support the growth of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workforce in Canberra. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the challenges facing this community and be able to provide expert advice on strategies for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development of policies and programs aimed at increasing the representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the health workforce.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify and address systemic issues affecting the health workforce.
  • Provide secretariat support to the ACT First Nations Health Workforce Collaborative.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A strong understanding of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workforce and the challenges it faces.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
