About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Safety Advisor. As a key member of our HSEQ team, you will play a vital role in influencing Project Managers to achieve health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) excellence.

Key Responsibilities

As a Safety Advisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Steering the development and implementation of HSEQ standards that align with compliance and due diligence requirements
  • Undertaking audits and inspections
  • Working closely with senior management to prepare reports
  • Motivating and educating BMD employees to champion best practice use of our systems
  • Developing work method statements, project plans and inspection and test plans
  • Implementing system changes and improvements to demonstrate continuous improvement

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A qualification in work health and safety (minimum of Certificate IV)
  • Knowledge of current legislation, standards and industry requirements

Desirable Skills

You may also have the following additional desirable skills:

  • Qualifications in training and assessment
  • Prior experience in the construction industry
