Oncology Nurse Job

This is a challenging role that requires high-quality care to patients with cancer. As an oncology nurse, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering compassionate and skilled care.

  • Key responsibilities include assessing and managing patients' physical and emotional needs, including pain management, wound care, and symptom control.
  • You will develop and implement individualized care plans addressing the unique needs of each patient.
  • Medications will be administered, procedures performed, and medical equipment operated as needed.
  • Collaboration with healthcare teams is essential for coordinating patient care and ensuring continuity of services.
  • Education and support will be provided to patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques.

Requirements:

  • Australian registration with the Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is mandatory.
  • At least 2 years of experience working as an oncology nurse in Australia is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Competency in managing central venous access devices (CVADs), peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs), and peripheral intravenous catheters (PIVCs) is highly regarded.
