The Melbourne Veterinary School is pleased to offer a training program in Veterinary Oncology.
About the RoleThis three-year, full-time position supports a professional to meet credentialing requirements for specialisation in Veterinary Oncology through Fellowship examination by the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists. The program is supported by board-certified specialists at the University of Melbourne, along with additional clinical staff.
Responsibilities- Clinical and Professional Development: Participate in supervised clinical activities to meet ANZCVS specialisation requirements and contribute to School planning and committees.
- Education and Mentorship: Contribute to teaching and supervising Doctor of Veterinary Medicine students in your areas of expertise.
- Research and Publication: Conduct research, present at conferences, and publish in peer-reviewed journals with increasing autonomy.
- Collaboration and Leadership: Work cooperatively in a multi-disciplinary team and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Have a veterinary degree enabling registration with the relevant veterinary authority.
- Have completed an internship or have equivalent practice experience.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines effectively.
