Maxima is seeking a Sports and Recreation professional to lead the planning and delivery of sport, recreation and physical activity initiatives in our region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate policy and strategic direction setting projects, including network and facility planning, community needs and industry planning.
  • Oversee complex capital and research projects, including site and land use planning.
  • Lead work units and teams, inter-branch project teams, stakeholders and appointed consultants.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, elected members, lessees and government agencies.

Requirements:

  • Develop, implement and evaluate projects, programs and services for sports, recreation and physical activity organizations.
  • Experience in leadership and supervision of staff.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and work history in sports and recreation, with understanding of strategic and governing frameworks at local, state and national levels.
  • Well-developed working knowledge and extensive practical experience in leading and delivering sport and recreation development in a complex environment.
