As a specialist in communications, you will be part of a team that brings people and communities together to create positive impact.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to amplify innovative ideas and solutions, identifying opportunities to share best practices and drive systemic change.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with research and policy teams to identify valuable content and ensure effective dissemination to diverse audiences.
  • Identifying and promoting thought leadership opportunities aligned with our strategic goals, leveraging channels such as sector events, awards, and conferences.
  • Coordinating communications across teams and preparing materials as required, including reports, briefs, and other relevant documents.
  • Building capacity within the organisation to effectively package and promote their work to external stakeholders.
  • Supporting the creation, production, and promotion of high-impact research reports and publications.
  • Capturing, assessing, and reporting on our thought leadership capability and achievements over time, tracking reach and impact.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in communications or a related field, with subsequent experience in stakeholder engagement and campaign implementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders across the not-for-profit sector, philanthropy, social researchers, and government.
  • Substantial knowledge of social justice, media, advocacy, events coordination, and communications writing and editing.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing communications campaigns to share research and thought leadership materials.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences and contexts.
  • Ability to design and coordinate complex projects, manage competing priorities, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
