About the RoleThis is a strategic individual contributor role where you will drive high-quality design solutions, mentor other designers, and help set the direction of our product experience. You will report to the VP of Design and Marketing and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across the business.
Key Responsibilities- Help shape the product vision and design strategy to align with user needs and business goals
- Lead design projects across multiple squads from research and discovery through to polished UI
- Drive high-quality, user-centered design through wireframes, prototypes, and visual design
- Guide research efforts to uncover user insights that inform product direction
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to prioritize and deliver features
- Champion consistent, accessible design across all touchpoints, including our design system
- Advocate for design excellence and best practices in your squad and across the product org
- Mentor and support other product designers, creating space for growth, feedback, and collaboration
- Act as a design voice in leadership conversations, both internally and externally when needed
- Deep experience designing intuitive products with real impact -- ideally in education or SaaS
- A strong portfolio that showcases your ability to connect user needs with strategic design
- Excellent craft, with a sharp eye for interaction, accessibility, and visual design
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams
- A proactive, thoughtful approach and comfort working in ambiguity
- Experience mentoring designers and helping others do their best work
- Mastery of tools like Figma, and confidence with agile, collaborative teams
- A valid Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
