Character Modeler Position

We are seeking a skilled character modeler to interpret 2D designs and translate them into 3D space while maintaining the original artistic intent.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce complex or stylized models to a high standard with a thorough understanding of shape, scale, and topology.
  • Produce accurate UVs for models for use in downstream departments.
  • Produce highly optimized meshes that can be rendered and displayed efficiently.
  • Maintain good communication with the lead and assume responsibility for ensuring assigned work is produced to an appropriate standard quality within the scheduled timeframe and deadline.

Requirements: A minimum of three years' experience modeling within a VFX or animated feature pipeline, proficiency with Maya and ZBrush, experience with Marvelous Designer, and a solid understanding of proper edge flow and polygon density.
