The Opportunity

As a seasoned project manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and integration of cutting-edge products on the RAAF E-7A Wedgetail. Your primary goal will be to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet all necessary requirements.

You will be involved in delivering capability improvements, obsolescence remediation, and system safety enhancements. In addition, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders across the organization and contribute to the development of proposals, contract change proposals, statements of work, and schedules.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Development of strategic plans and implementation roadmaps
  • Effective leadership and management of assigned projects
  • Provision of regular status reports and performance metrics to key stakeholders
  • Tasking and allocation of work packages for engineering, maintenance, training, and logistics
  • Management of key stakeholders, including subcontractors, to ensure understanding of their responsibilities and deliverables
  • Identification, assessment, and mitigation of project risks, issues, and opportunities
  • Contribution to project improvement initiatives, conducting lessons learned, and collaborating with customers and capabilities teams
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven track record in managing complex projects to successful completion
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management principles, methodologies, and industry standards
  • Familiarity with cyber security concepts, systems, and implementations
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with a strong focus on building effective relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Formal tertiary qualifications in a STEM, business, or management field are desirable but not necessary
  • Experience with engineering change processes and knowledge of NV1 clearance procedures
