Effective Child Development Specialist

The Role
- Deliver supports to help families achieve their goals through assessments, observations, and understanding of child development.
- Use coaching skills to empower families, caregivers, and professionals, helping them build skills and confidence to support children in their everyday lives.
- Connect children and families with their community to ensure they are included and can participate in the settings and activities they choose.
- Keep thorough records of conversations, developmental progress, and goals in the NDIS business system.
- Guide families through the application, implementation, and funding processes of NDIS plans.
Key Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A degree qualification in Speech Pathology.
- Expert knowledge in child development and the ability to identify developmental issues.
- Proven track record supporting families and children with developmental delays/disabilities, including implementation of effective strategies for families to practice at home and other settings.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the NDIS Early Childhood Approach and early childhood intervention best practice principles and the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
