Early Childhood Intervention Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as an Early Childhood Intervention Specialist. This is a rewarding career opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with developmental delays and disabilities, and their families.


As an Early Childhood Intervention Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering evidence-informed best practice supports to families, empowering them to help their children achieve their goals. You will use your expertise in child development to tailor support options that fit each child and family, connecting them with their community and ensuring they can participate in the settings and activities they choose.


This is a full-time or part-time position (4 days) until 30 June 2026, with a high likelihood of extension to 31 March 2027. We offer flexible working options and a hybrid work environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-informed best practice supports to families, using assessments, observations, and coaching skills to empower them to help their children achieve their goals.
  • Use your expertise in child development to tailor support options that fit each child and family, connecting them with their community and ensuring they can participate in the settings and activities they choose.
  • Keep thorough records of conversations, developmental progress, and goals, in the NDIA business system.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A degree qualification in Speech Pathology.
  • Expert knowledge in child development and the ability to identify developmental issues.
  • Proven track record supporting families and children with developmental delays/disabilities, including implementation of effective strategies for families to practice at home and other settings.
