Job Title: Disability Support Worker

Location: Brisbane, QLD

We are seeking dedicated and experienced individuals to support one of our high-needs NDIS participants in Burpengary, QLD.

The ideal candidate will provide 1:1 support at the participant's house, assisting with day programs, personal care, meal preparation, household duties, and community participation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to an NDIS participant with high needs
  • Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Prepare meals and assist with household duties
  • Accompany the participant to community activities and events
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with the participant and their family

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate 3 in Mental Health or Disability Support Services/Age Care
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in supporting people with disabilities
  • Working with Children's Check (employment) or in process of obtaining one
  • Car and driver's licence
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Two-three relevant professional reference checks
  • First Aid (HLTAID003) and CPR (HLTAID001) certificate
  • COVID-19 fully vaccinated
  • Blue Card (Working with Children)
  • Infection Control, Worker Orientation Module and First Aid/CPR Certificate
  • Experience in assisting individuals with ASD, ADHD
  • Background in nursing or paramedics (or currently studying in these fields)
  • Previous experience in managing seizures and administering emergency medications
  • Genuine interest in disability support work as a long-term career path
