Geologist Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Geologist to join our team and contribute to the success of our operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to work in a dynamic environment and make a meaningful impact.

As a key member of our geological team, you will be responsible for overseeing the Santa Open Pit and providing clear direction to mining contractors. You will also be involved in grade control and reconciliation, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mark-up dig blocks and provide clear directions to excavator operators and haulage personnel. Ensure the shift board is updated daily.
  • Monitor and manage stockpile control, haulage and grade tracking to optimise production and maintain quality mill feed. Conduct routine stockpile checks and manage material movement on Mine Ore Pad.
  • Undertake comprehensive geological, structural and geotechnical mapping. Identify and report on any geotechnical hazards that may impact safety and mining.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Geology or a related discipline, significant experience in Open Pit gold mining, and good knowledge of mine production and grade control practices. They will also possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and demonstrate attention to detail.

Job Requirements
