Role Overview:

The Operations Systems Specialist is a vital member of the Airline Operations Technology team, tasked with collaborating closely with the Workforce Planning and Crew Tracking teams. This role aims to enhance the systems that empower these teams to meet their operational goals effectively. The specialist will engage with business stakeholders and various technology teams to foster innovative solutions that ensure compliance and boost operational efficiency.

Team Objective: The Airline Operations Technology team is dedicated to partnering with our clients to achieve their safety, compliance, and efficiency objectives through innovative systems and expert guidance.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Business Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a System Analyst, Business Analyst, or Subject Matter Expert.
  • Proficiency in airline rostering systems (such as AirCrews, IBS Pairings/PBS) or other operational systems.
  • Strong skills in gathering business requirements, problem-solving, and evaluating solutions.
  • Experience in system configuration, maintenance, and support.
  • Familiarity with system test case development and testing processes.
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Exposure to project planning and execution.
  • Experience in initiating and implementing improvements to processes, policies, and systems to enhance performance.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Prior experience in a Workforce Planning or Integrated Operations Centre role.
  • Experience in a Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) regulated environment.
  • Solid understanding of Enterprise Agreements and their implications.
