Pedagogy Coach

Coomera State Special School is a vibrant learning community that supports students across years Prep to Year 12. Our purpose statement of 'Shining the Light on Potential' guides our values of Best in Class, EveryOne Matters, and Seriously Playful.
We aim to create a culture of high expectations where every student can learn in a dynamic and fun environment. The Pedagogy Coaches will drive a collaborative culture of learning, supporting teachers and staff to meet student needs through collegial engagement and feedback.
The Pedagogy Coaches will work with the Leadership Team to build staff capacity in content and pedagogy, providing ongoing professional learning and coaching. This will be achieved by monitoring student learning, deepening staff knowledge, and improving practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement school-wide processes underpinned by a comprehensive collegial engagement framework.
- Lead the implementation of the Australian Curriculum and signature pedagogies of Comprehensive Literacy, Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL), and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
- Support the needs of students with complex communication through AAC.
