- Intentional collaborative practices, data-based decision making and feedback is the way of working for all staff

The Pedagogy Coaches will be passionate about driving a collaborative culture of learning, and supporting teachers and support staff to best meet the needs of our students, through a culture of collegial engagement and feedback. They will work collaboratively with the Leadership Team to build staff capacity in content and pedagogy by providing and supporting ongoing content-focused professional learning coupled with content-specific coaching and feedback. This will also be supported by monitoring and analysing student learning as a means of deepening staff content knowledge, improving practice, and elevating student achievement. They will have well developed strategic thinking and analytical skills to contribute to our school improvement agenda.About the RoleAs Coach, you'll have responsibility for the following key tasks:

- Adopt the Leadership team's philosophy of empowering staff and supporting them to achieve. This is not a position of power where you dictate to staff what they need to do. It should be looked upon as a position of support where you encourage self-reflection and use your leadership and mentor skills to enhance the skills of your team to assist in improving student outcomes.
- Lead and support a Whole School Approach to Pedagogy, specifically Comprehensive Literacy, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL)
- Lead strategies to maximise student achievement and support other school and/or departmental initiatives as required
- Identify teaching and learning needs, barriers and weaknesses by analysing student data, and organizing and implementing problem-solving actions with staff
- Facilitate school-based high-quality professional development, working with staff (in teams or individually) to refine their knowledge and skills.
