Leadership and Management Opportunity in Allied Health Services
The role of the Allied Health Team Leader is to provide leadership and direction for a multi-disciplinary team including psychologists, behaviour support practitioners and other allied health professionals.
Key responsibilities include monitoring and supporting client care, adhering to evidence-based best-practice and legislative requirements, mentoring and supervising clinicians, actively managing referrals and demand for clinical programs, and establishing professional networks and advocating for the needs and treatments of young people and participants in our care.
This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring a therapeutic, trauma-informed and disability-informed environment is created for the individuals we support.
The ideal candidate will have recognised qualifications and experience as a Psychologist, be currently registered with the relevant health practitioner registration agency, and possess excellent communication and leadership skills.
Additional responsibilities include providing high-level clinical supervision to psychologists, behaviour support practitioners and other allied health professionals, and maintaining accurate records and reports.
Essential selection criteria include a registered psychologist or relevant allied health profession, demonstrated experience in a management capacity driving clinical services framework across an organisation, knowledge of key policy frameworks within the community services and health sectors, and extensive experience in providing clinical and/or behaviour assessment, intervention and support in the disability and out-of-home-care sectors.
Desirable criteria include membership of relevant behaviour support, disability, psychological and/or Community Services Associations, experience in developing and implementing a clinical services program, and board-approved supervisor status with the relevant health practitioner registration agency.
