Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled professional to oversee animal care and welfare in our organization. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for animal well-being.

The ideal candidate will have experience in animal husbandry, crisis management, and team leadership. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is desirable, but not mandatory.

This position involves coordinating animal transfers, managing resources, and implementing behaviour initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders to achieve our organization's goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure animals and staff are cared for according to our policies and procedures.
  • Oversee accurate data entry and manage animal care inventory.
  • Coordinate animal transfers and offsite adoption programs.
  • Develop and implement foster care initiatives within the region.
  • Manage resource utilization and ensure animal husbandry requirements are met.
  • Implement behaviour initiatives and assessments.

About You:

  • Excellent communicator with top-notch interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in business management or related field desirable.
  • Leadership abilities to motivate and guide staff and volunteers.
  • Familiarity with animal welfare laws and regulations.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Animal care knowledge and understanding of animal behaviour, health, and welfare.
