Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out laboratory work and data analysis associated with the geochemical analysis of stalagmites, with a focus on stable oxygen isotopes analyzed by isotope ratio mass spectrometry.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to collaborative research in a dynamic team environment
- Develop and maintain a strong focus on communicating research findings through publications and presentations
- Work collaboratively with other researchers within the Laureate Fellowship team and ANSTO collaborators
- Contribute to the supervision of PhD and Honours students as required
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A PhD (or soon to be awarded) in Earth Science or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in the geochemical analysis of stalagmites using isotope ratio mass spectrometry
- Strong programming skills or expertise in data analysis packages
- An ability to carry out scientific research independently and as part of a collaborative team

What We Offer- Estimated salary range: AU$110,000 - AU$117,000 per annum, plus superannuation and annual leave loading
- Fixed-term position for 3 years, full-time (35 hours per week)
